With a breathtaking view of the city seen through the choir loft windows, the design successfully achieves an environment conducive to both worship and congregational events and reflects the cultural identity of the resident Finish Christian community. The church design incorporates the use of local wood using poplar ceiling boards in sweeping curved forms which enhance the acoustic performance of the space encouraging community use by the symphony and other musical groups to enjoy the church during the week. Much of the construction work was completed by volunteers from the congregation and the care and craftsmanship is evident in many of wood and metal details.
